Stafford Speedway crash with stuck gas pedal, Whelen Mod. Tour
# 39 Rich Pallai of New York in his Hot Chevrolet had every race car drivers worst nightmare happen this afternoon at Stafford. Gas pedal stuck wide open. Went to hospital as a pre caution and back in a hour ok, but sore. Mean while Bobby Santos continues his great success at the track with the fastest practice of 18.334 and 98.125. #48 Jimmie Johnson Wins the Pole and #2 Brad Keselowski starts Outside for the "600"
Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, # 48 Jimmie Johnson nailed his 33rd career pole and first of the 2014 racing season with a awesome speed of 194.911. If you are wondering , when starting from the pole, he has a great record of 13 career cup victories
# 2 Roger Penske's Brad Keselowski was on his tail for the outside front row in his Ford Hot Rod. # 5 Hendrick Motorsports Kasey Kahne took a little heat off his back with a good qualifying day for third and along side in fourth outside is #10 Stewart/Hass Chevrolet,Danika Patrick who is really starting to step up to the plate in the last five starts. Newly wed # 15 Clint Boyer honeymoon is over in Mikey Waltrip's Toyota for a 5th place start. Denny Hamlin #11 Fed-Ex Toyota of the Gibbs Racing stable looks really healthy now with the one fewer race than his competition has.
