Townley wins Las Vegas
#05-John Wes Townley won his first Camping World Truck Series race, the Rhino Linings 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, on Saturday night after taking the lead with less than five laps to go. #88-Matt Crafton held the lead before pitting for fuel, relinquishing the top spot to Townley, who started second. #17-Timothy Peters finished second after #13-Cameron Hayley ran out of gas as Townley took the white flag. Peters was followed by: #11-Ben Kennedy, #8-John Hunter Nemechek, #33-Brandon Jones, #14-Daniel Hemric, #19-Tyler Reddick, #88-Matt Crafton, #4-Erik Jones, and #13-Cameron Hayley. There were 3 caution flags for 19 laps and 15 lead changes among 9 leaders.
#29-Austin Theriault was airlifted to a local hospital for further evaluation after a wreck on lap 14. He climbed from his truck under his own power.
John Wes Townley won the 19th Annual Rhino Linings 350, his first victory in 87 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races.
This is his first victory and seventh top-10 finish in 2015.
This is his first victory and second top-10 finish in four races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Timothy Peters (second) posted his sixth top-10 finish in eight races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It is his 11th top-10 finish in 2015.
Ben Kennedy (third) posted his second top-10 finish in two races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
John H. Nemechek (fourth) was the highest finishing rookie.
Erik Jones # leads the point standings by 4 points over Matt Crafton.
