#2-Brad Keselowski won the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The win is his 1st of the year, 2nd win at Charlotte and 31st career win.
#9-Elliott finished 2nd followed by #12-Blaney, #18-Busch, #4-Harvick, #19-Truex, Jr., pole winner #1-Busch, #8-Reddick, #95-Bell, and #17-Buescher.
#48-Jimmie Johnson initially finished second but his car failed post-race inspection. He was disqualified and moved to 40th place.
#9-Elliott was cruising to the win when the caution came out with two laps remaining for a spin by #24-Byron. Elliott and a few drivers pitted while Keselowski, Johnson, and others stayed out.
On the first attempt at NASCAR Overtime, Keselowski held the lead for the final two laps and Elliott could only get back up to 3rd place.
Stage 1 & 2 were won by #88-Bowman. Stage 3 was won by #22-Logano.
There were 20 lead changes among 11 drivers and 8 cautions for 52 yellow flag laps.
The race was stopped on lap 50 for rain. There was a red flag of just over one hour for track drying.
