What a wild night at Thompson for the Late Models. Three segments, Two for twenty and one for ten for a ultimate Late Model winner. If their is a hotter driver in the Country than Keith Rocco, please e-mail me at
waynewnri@yahoo.com . The driver has five straight wins at the Waterford Speedbowl in the Darth Vader, Black Beast and two at Thompson now. If the DQ had not came down at the Icebreaker Rocco would have eight straight. This is not from lack of competition with eight (8) time champion #3 Glenn Boss of Danielson.Conn. and six (6) time champion #70 Rick Gentes from Mapleville, Rhode Island in the mix every time out. 300 WINS for the three competitors and counting. If you check out some of the heart pounding photos I took at the Race , you too

Why do's he remind me of Geoff Bodine ?
will agree. In the first race Gentes and Boss put on a driving clinic and then Rocco led the last eight feet to win by a fascia to surprise the first time attendents part of the crowd. The die hard fans who watch this fine tuned "Timex Watch"mind driver preform these feats every week all over the Eastern Seaboard.
The second race was Rocco's also. even starting in the number twelve spot. The third segment he was denied the sweep by Gentes, Gentes took the bold move pass on a restart on lap eight and again on lap nine to hold off Rocco. Gentes who really seemed to enjoy the respect and quality of the three races compared to blood bath two season ending races in the 2013 Late Model Championship Run with Gentes prevailing in the final at the Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in the quiet corner of Connecticut. Tires were the difference, Gentes said.
The points were desending and Keith Rocco had two wins and the second for four points
Rick Gentes was second overall with a cumulative score of seven and Glenn Boss was third with a low score of eight. It cannot get any better than this racing at Thompson. Please support you're local tracks and keep short track racing alive in our part of the Country. Next time you go. take a friend or relative or a child to experience a New England Tradition of short track racing.
