Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park "Ltd. Sportsman " Delight" Legendary Leo Cleary !

The Icebreaker was a super racing event and the weather was certainly a lot warmer on Thursday night than in April. The new road course is right on construction schedule and the new Whelen lighting looks and works great. A late crowd arrived after a days work to get their fill of short track therapy from a month of racing withdrawals. The owners and drivers responded with a true quality night of racing. Dodging a occasional light shower and later succumbing to the rain gods. The few heat races were very competitive and well run by the track officials who were in control right from the drivers meeting on.
No bull will be allowed on the track or social media circles or you will pay the piper, c/o race director Scott Tapley.
The LTD.Sportsman drew the largest field of competitors again tonight and the track decided to scrap the heats and do a European Style Qualifying. The race cars were sent out in 4 minute group
sessions with the lap times used to determine the starting positions for the feature.
