Austin Dillon wins XFINITY race at Auto Club: #2-Austin Dillon won the TREATMYCLOT.com 300 at Auto Club Speedway. It is his 7th XFINITY Series win and 1st of the year. #18-Kyle Busch finished second, followed by #6-Darrell Wallace, Jr., #19-Daniel Suarez, #1-Elliott Sadler, #88-Kevin Harvick, #62-Brendan Gaughan, #42-Kyle Larson, #33-Brandon Jones, and #7-Justin Allgaier.Kyle Busch led 133 of the 150 laps and was leading on the final lap, but cut a tire down going into turn 1. He was briefly passed by Suarez, who then ran out of gas on the backstretch. Busch retook the lead but Dillon passed him coming off turn 4 to take the win. It was the only lap Dillon led all day.
There were just 4 cautions for 16 laps and 12 lead changes among 8 leaders.
The average speed was 143.008mph.
Connecticut Modified graduate 01 Ryan Preece stated 25th and finished a dismal 24th two laps down again and earned 17 points. The standings are in and Preece sits 17th with only 80 points and -102 back
