THOMPSON, CT) - Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park has worked diligently this off-season to put together several unique contingency programs for their four NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) divisions. Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park has teamed up with 10 companies to offer cash bonuses and product certificates to competitors in our four NWAAS divisions, beginning this weekend at the 42nd Annual Icebreaker.
There will be over $5,900 worth of cash bonuses distributed to competitors in various ways throughout the season, thanks to our partners that have generously joined Thompson’s efforts to put some extra cash into the pockets of loyal competitors.
OBASTID Apparel will post a $50.00 bonus and apparel giveaway each week for the Mini Stock teams with the recipients determined by random drawing.
Thompson’s Limited Sportsman division will find season-long support from Xtra Mart stores including title sponsorship. Xtra Mart Limited Sportsman race winners will receive a bonus of $100.00 from Xtra Mart. In addition, another $100.00 from Xtra Mart will be awarded with the recipient determined by a random drawing.
R.A.D. Auto Machine will be offering a special $500 cash bonus at the end of the season for the Xtra Mart Limited Sportsman Division Rookie of the Year, making it a title worth fighting for this season.
The Late Models division will find support from Cady’s Tavern with a $100.00 cash going to the winner of each race.
The Sunoco Modifieds will also benefit from the contingency program this year, with Draco Springs offering $75.00 to the winner, and NAPA Auto Parts/Vandi Auto Supply providing $50 as a random drawing for each race this season.
In addition to these programs, we have a few companies offering support through product certificates and other bonuses. Dur-A-Flex will be rewarding the halfway leader for each Mini Stock and Limited Sportsman race with a $50 product certificate.
Magnus Racing Products will be helping out competitors in the Sunoco Modified and Late Model divisions with $75 product certificates for the winner of each race.
Seals-It will be offering product certificates for 2 or 3 races in each of Thompson's four NWAAS divisions, as well as the Lite Modified division. These certificates will include $100 for the race winner, and $50 for the driver with the most laps lead.
Coastline Fire Protection will also be offering support to competitors with several programs throughout the season. At the Icebreaker, they will be providing a full fire suppression system valued at $1,200.00 each for the winners of the Sunoco Modified and Late Model races. The other 10 divisions racing at the Icebreaker will also receive a $200 certificate for the winner and a $200 certificate for a random draw.
We are pleased to be able to announce these programs for our competitors, and value these great companies for their support of our 2016 season.
