Despite Turbush's win, the talk around the paddock was centered around Modified superstar Ted Christopher, making his first career start and challenging the truck regulars. After the race, a clearly frustrated Christopher expressed his displeasure about the finish by making contact with another truck on the cool down lap, resulting in a 20 point penalty and $100 fine by the series.
"I had to work hard for this win, it wasn't easy beating Ted Christopher," said Turbush. "If I made a mistake the results could of been different. Awesome feeling winning at not only Thompson but Stafford as well and beating a driver like TC is something I will not forget."
Dumicich agreed, "It was good hard racing on the last lap for the checker flag with TC and that it was a tight fast group of trucks at the front of the pack all day."
Third place finisher Bert Ouellette excitedly exclaimed "I thought it was exciting to get to race Teddy at Stafford, a track that he has dominated, and run with him and battle around him!!!"
