Peters wins Phoenix:
#17-Timothy Peters won the Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday night. Peters inherited the lead with just under 30 laps to go after then-leaders #4-Erik Jones and #88-Matt Crafton battled over position. The two made contact, and the 4 truck bounced off of the outside wall while the 88 shot down track and into the path of the third place truck, #98-Johnny Sauter. #4-Jones rallied, despite right side damage, and maintains the point lead with one race remaining. #88-Crafton ended the night in 23rd and dropped back to third in the championship standings. #8-John Hunter Nemechek was second, followed by #05-John Wes Townley, #51-Daniel Suarez, #19-Tyler Reddick, #23-Spencer Gallagher, #32-JJ Haley, #54-Matt Tifft, #4-Erik Jones, and #15-Mason Mingus.
There were 7 caution flags for 37 laps and 9 lead changes among 4 leaders.
