In the second 50, Matt Mead, Richmond,NH and George Sherman, Framingham,Ma. brought the field to green and again McKennedy wasted no time charging from deep in the pack takin
g advantage of each restart to move towards the front until he out muscled race leader Alexander at the halfway mark of the event. From that point on McKennedy could watch the hot action in his rear view mirror as each lap ticked off and positions changed constantly.
Alexander battled Geoff Gernhard, Andy Seuss and Donnie Lashua trying to hold on to the runner up spot With a handful of laps left Gernhard worked the inside of Alexander for the pass as Seuss dropped off the pace with ignition problems and Colbey Fournier took advantage racing into third place;
At the checkered it was McKennedy with a 2 second lead, Gernhard with another impressive performance finishing second while Fournier was a fraction of a second behind in third.
Alexander was fourth while Lashua came back from a crash in segment one to finish fifth. Sixth thru tenth were Rob Richardi Jr, George Sherman, David Schneider, Russ Hersey, Branden Dion.
