Byron wins Truck Series Race at Kansas #9-William Byron won the Toyota Tundra 250 at Kansas Speedway on Friday, picking up his first career win in dramatic fashion. A late caution as Byron led extended the race into overtime. He lost the lead to #21-Johnny Sauter and #41-Ben Rhodes after the restart, but the two made contact in turn 3 on the final lap and wrecked, handing the lead back to Byron.
#88-Matt Crafton finished second, followed by #19-Daniel Hemric, #4-Christopher Bell, #24-Clint Bowyer, #81-Ryan Truex, #00-Cole Custer, #17-Timothy Peters, #33-Ben Kennedy, and #23-Spencer Gallagher.
#05-John Wes Townley led the field to green after earning his first career pole, but was involved in an accident early and finished 26th.
There were 11 cautions for 47 laps and 19 lead changes among 9 leaders.
The average speed was 108.511mph.
