Two time NWMT champion Donny Lia, the driver of the famous # 4 Mystic Missle since 2007 has decided to move on from owner Bob Garbarino and will be actively seeking a different ride for 2015. Donny Lia hails from Jericho, New York and has driven on and off since 2007 with 17 career wins.
Lia is a two time champion, 2007 & 2009 with the Mystic Missle race team. The collaboration also accumulated 12 victories. Lia said," Bob has always been my biggest supporter of me", he said. He's been a guiding figure of my life. And that won't change. I could never thank Bob and Joan Garbarino, Greg Shroder, Richard Brustolon, and Jimmy Savage enough.

Marty Smith to Remain with ESPN as Bureau Reporter
My friend Marty Smith, who has been a lead NASCAR reporter for Sports-Center and other ESPN platforms since 2007, has agreed to a new contract and will remain with ESPN as a Bureau reporter.
From his base in Charlotte, N.C., Smith will cover a variety of sports for the network, including NASCAR,pro and college football and basketball, and other sports. He also will still write for ESPN.COM on NASCAR and other topics and will continue the popular Marty and McGee podcast on ESPN.COM, which he co-hosts with ESPN the Magazine senior writer, Ryan McGee.
Smith's new contract begins Jan.1st and will cover the last four weeks of this years chase for the NASCAR Cup and also the Charlotte Hornets. Smith is a Radford University graduate and covered newspapers in Roanoke and Lynchburg, Va. before joining NASCAR.COM

Stewart-Haas Racing Announces Personnel Swap 10 & 41 Teams
Kannapolis, N.C. - Stewart-Haas Racing, the championship-winning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, will swap crew chiefs and road crews between its # 10 and # 41 teams beginning with the AAA Texas 500 race weekend Oct.31 - Nov.2 at Texas Motor Speedway in Forth Worth.
Crew chief Tony Gibson will move from the # 10 Go-Daddy team of driver Danica Patrick to the # 41 Haas Automation team of driver Kurt Busch. Crew chief Daniel Knost will move from the #41 team to serve as the interim crew chief for Patrick and the # 10 team. The road crews assembled by each crew chief will also make the swap. However the pit crews for each respective team will not be moved.
' We made this change to evaluate our program and to get a head start on the 2015 racing season," said Greg Zipadelli, vice president of competition, Stewart - Haas Racing. "With the ban on testing next year, the last three races of this season take on even greater importance. For Tony Gibson and Kurt, they'll get three races together that will provide direction for next year. And for Daniel Knost and Danica, this is a opportunity for them to develop a rapport that could potentially continue into 2015,"
This weekend's Sprint Cup event at Martinsville (VA) Speedway will be the last for Gibson with Patrick and Knost with Kusch.
In 70 Sprint Cup races with Patrick dating back to the last two races of the 2012 season, Gibson helped deliver her first career pole in the 2013 Daytona 500 and her best career finish of sixth earned on Aug. 31, 2014 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
In 32 Sprint Cup races with Busch, all of which took place in 2014, Knost helped him make the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup for the second straight season and the eighth time in his career. Knost, a first- year crew chief with a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, directed Busch to six top- fives and nine top-tens finishes. highlighted by a win when the series raced at Martinsville in March,2014.

Stewart- Haas is the last team in the hunt for the 2014 championship at Homestead. Harvick will pilot Chassis No.4-684 at Martinsville(VA) Speedway. Built new for 2014,Chassis 4-684 started 18th and finished seventh at Martinsville in April, its only time in competition.
In 26 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Martinsville, Happy has one win, five top-fives finishes and 12 top-tens. Additionally, the 38- year-old driver has a average starting position of 13.7, an average finish of 15.8 and has completed 97.7 percent of the laps he's contested ( 12,736 of 13,036)
In Harvick's career. he now has 26 wins, 111 top-five finishes and 226 top-ten's in 498 career starts.
The next three races should favor Harvick and any top 10 equals a win for Race Fans- Outback Steak House has given race fans one more reason to cheer for Harvick and the No. 4 race team this season. When Harvick finishes in the top-10 of a Sprint Cup race, fans get a free Bloomin' Onion (r) at Outback Steakhouse on the following Monday immediately following the race.
