Chase Elliott wins Daytona 500 pole:

#24-Chase Elliott won the 21 Means 21 Pole Award for the 58th Annual Daytona 500 with a lap of 45.845 seconds, 196.314 mph.
This is his first pole in six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.
This is his first pole and first top-10 start in 2016.
This is his first pole at Daytona International Speedway.
#20-Matt Kenseth (second) posted his first top-10 start of 2016 and his 12th in 33 races at Daytona International Speedway.
#88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. (third) posted his 22nd top-10 start at Daytona International Speedway.
This is Hendrick Motorsports 10th Daytona 500 pole - the series most.
This is the third Daytona 500 pole for the #24 car - Jeff Gordon (1999, 2015), Chase Elliott (2016).
The Elliotts become the fourth father-son duo to win the Daytona 500 pole joining Richard and Kyle Petty, Bobby and Davey Allison and Dale Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
   William Clyde "Chase" Elliott II is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, driving the No. 24 Chevrolet SS for Hendrick Motorsports and part-time in the Xfinity Series, driving the No. 88 and No. 5 Chevrolet Camaros for JR Motorsports. He is the son of 1988 Winston Cup Series champion Bill Elliott.
