T.J Bleau Steps Up Program.

Posted by Wayne G. Barber

When the 2016 Valenti Modified Racing Series season starts at the Monadnock Speedway on April 30 for the Bond Spring Dash 100. A new team will be on hand to do battle with the  modified veterans.
15-year-old T.J. Bleau of Troy, NH has decided it's time to take the next step in his racing career. "We now have the equipment to compete, so it's time to step up our program" Bleau said.
The high school student started racing at the age of eight and since then has amassed an impressive record, including assorted victories and championships at a number of local tracks. With the support of his family and sponsors like Ledoux Family Dental, Cheshire Fire Protection Inc., Troy Powersports, Dube's Tire, Draco Spring and Fastener Mill; T.J. and his dad Bob will field two cars, a Spafco for Monadnock's sportsmen modified division, and a new LFR car for Claremont and the Valenti Modified Racing Series.
The team will run five shows with the M.R.S. this year with plans to run full time next season for the rookie of the year. "I'm nervous but excited to run against the MRS guys, it will be a test for our team to see how well we compete against them. As far as ours sportsmen modified; I really want to win a championship at Monadnock and prove we are capable of winning races and the championship. And I want to learn from the guys in the MRS" Bleau commented.

Winning races won't be anything new for the young hot shoe as he already has 89 victories to his credit including his first sportsmen modified win at the age of 14, which made him the youngest driver to win a NASCAR sanctioned modified event.

He credits Kirk Alexander, the winningest driver in MRS history, and Scotty Mac Michael, another successful modified sportsmen driver for giving him racing advice.

Be prepared to be impressed by this young hot shoe in that number 15.

Again for 2016 the Valenti Auto Group will be the primary sponsor for the Modified Racing Series.
Anyone from the Connecticut, Rhode Island area will have probably come in contact with one of their dealerships at one time or another, but no one realizes that they have been around since 1927, when Ferdinand A Valenti Sr. started his auto repair business in  Wallingford, CT.
Valenti first sold Nash and Lafayette automobiles and International trucks, then began selling Dodge and Plymouth in 1938. In 1955 Valenti bought the opportunity to sell Chevrolet, which became the best selling brand in the United States during the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
The Valenti's were always known for doing business on their word and a handshake. In 1973 Ferdinand's sons Fred Junior and Robert bought another Chevrolet – Oldsmobile dealership in Mystic, CT.
The Valenti dealerships owned by various members of the Valenti family third generation currently represent 18 brands of autos across Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Going forward, Valenti has built facilities that can handle a larger volume of car sales and service and has adopted a low pricing strategy to put it to use. The one thing that remains constant is that no matter the size of the dealership, it is still run with the same family values and integrity that Ferdinand Valenti Senior had when he started selling and servicing cars and trucks to local farmers, residents and businesses in 1927.
