Bud 150 on the Wednesday Schedule 8-9-17

Posted by Wayne G. Barber

Three time NEMA Champion John Zych Jr. ( Elizabeth's husband) will be ready for Thompson Speedway and Randy Cabral and the Bertrand Stable.

Race Team owner/ driver Keith Rocco is dialed in for another battle from Preece and Woody Pitkat !
8 down and 8 to go on the 2017 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the weather should be perfect for the teams to prepare their cars on short notice after running at Stafford Speedway Friday night. Ryan Preece and Long Island's Timmy Solimito dominated the first half with each garnering 3 wins a piece. Rowan Pennink in O'le Blue and Bobby Santos have the others. The big surprise by many racing fans is at the mid point of the season driver Doug Coby is still looking for a checkered flag. Can Preece  win the championship with a fewer race with a time out to get married ?
Can Pennink bring back a championship to the famous #3 in 2017 ?
The racing card will be loaded with a return of the touring NEMA Midgets for 25 laps and the 4 regular NASCAR divisions, Sunoco Modifies with Preece and Keith Rocco in their annual dog fight and newcomer Ray Parent trying to hold off Rick Gentes ( Bronco Rocket)for his first Late/ Model championship. Looks like Wayne Burroughs Jr. will win two more mini stock championships in Connecticut with the Sportsman going down to the October World Series to claim a champion with the star studded field. Race fans remember to look at the fine Sponsors who support these race teams and on your next purchase to take the time to Thank Them for their support of our great short track racing in New England.
Good luck to all the race teams tonight and I hope to see you in the pits or in Victory Lane, Wayne
