HUNTERSVILLE, NC — NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Series team Our Motorsports announced today that Modified veteran Keith Rocco will assume driving duties of the No. 22 Chevrolet for the remainder of the 2015 season. Rocco replaces Tommy Barrett Jr. who competed on the Tour in 2014 and in this season’s opener at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
“Based on our goals and objectives for 2015, we felt it was in the best interest of the team to make a driver change early in the season,” said team owner Chris Our. “We appreciate the efforts put forth by Tommy and thank him for his service.”
Rocco finished 12th in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Spring Sizzler at Stafford Motor Speedway (CT) driving the No. 22 as Barrett’s temporary replacement.
Barrett was serving a team-imposed suspension for the event at Stafford Motor Speedway. According to a team release prior to the event, Barrett had breached the team’s Code of Conduct policy and adhered to the consequence of his actions.
