Stafford Springs Conn. Contingency Program 2015

(Stafford Springs, CT)---Stafford Speedway’s Contingency Program was implemented prior to the start of the 1999 season and with the program now in its 17th year of existence, it has grown to the point where there is over $44,000 in contingency bonuses up for grabs to Stafford drivers in 2015.
“We’re very grateful to our contingency partners for making our program possible,” said Mark Arute, Stafford COO/GM.  “Over the last 17 years it has grown by leaps and bounds.  When we first started the program, the goal was to offer bonus money to help our competitors offset some of their costs.  Now there is bonus money available to all the weekly divisions through several different programs that pay out contingency bonuses.  Our weekly race partners have a rookie bonus program that we feel is second to none, and we have several unique programs like the XtraMart Xtra D and CBYD 811 Challenge.”
Stafford has 7 different contingency partners offering weekly bonuses to drivers.  Dunleavy Truck and Trailer Repair offers first place bonuses to the SK Modified® and SK Light feature winners; Call Before You Dig offers a first place bonus to the SK Modified® feature winner; Mr. Rooter Plumbing offers a first place bonus to the Late Model and Limited Late Model feature winners; and Dave’s Flea Market offers a bonus to the highest finishing driver from the Young Lion, Semi-Pro, and Pro classes in the Legend Cars feature event.  Other contingency partners include Driscoll Motorsports Photography for 2nd place in the Limited Late Model feature, and On-Time Accounting for third place in the Limited Late Model feature.  These 6 contingency partners will combine to contribute over $23,000 to drivers in 2015.

New England Racing Fuel, with Mike Joy and John Holland, have continuously participated in the contingency program since its inception in 1999 offering gas certificates as a bonus.  New England Racing Fuel offers a $25 certificate to the top-3 finishers in each of Stafford’s five NASCAR weekly divisions plus a $25 certificate for the highest finishing rookie in the Late Model, SK Light, Ltd. Late Model, and DARE Stock divisions.
In addition to the weekly bonuses, Stafford’s contingency program also has several special sponsors.  Stafford’s Rookie of the Year program will pay out $4,700 in total to the R.O.Y.’s from each weekly NASCAR division thanks to partners SPAFCO Race Chassis & Parts, R.A.D. Automachine, and T/A Engines.  The rookie winners won’t be the only ones taking home a bonus as Magnus Transmissions will provide $1,600 in bonus money to the rookie of the year runners up.
XtraMart will offer $3,750 to drivers through their Xtra Mart Xtra D program, where each division will take a turn in participating in an extra distance feature during the 2015 season.  The Late Model division kicks off the 2015 Xtra Mart Xtra D program on May 8, the DARE Stock Xtra D will be May 15, the Ltd. Late Model Xtra D will be May 29, the SK Modified® Xtra D will be June 19, and the SK Light Xtra D will be July 3.
Call Before You Dig awards a unique bonus in which 5 lucky drivers will each win an $811 bonus through the CBYD 811 Challenge.  The CBYD 811 Challenge is open to all 5 of Stafford’s weekly NASCAR divisions and utilizes a special points system that starts at 100 points and works its way down in 5 point increments per position.  The goal for drivers is to come the closest to accumulating 811 points without going over through the completion of the Aug. 7 CBYD 150 feature events.
