Reflections Tim Flock NASCAR Hall of Fame

Yes, looking back on my notes on pioneer racing I noticed it was the late great Tim Flock's birthday.
What a Driver ! 2 Time top series champion with a shortened career mark of 39 wins in only 187 starts for a series 2nd best winning percentage of 20.9 %
In 1956 for instance, he had 19 poles and 18 victories in 45 starts.
He was also one of the drivers, along with Curtis Turner proposing a drivers union and was rewarded for it with a 10 year banishment. He was reinstated in 1966 and passed away at 73 on  3-31-98 from cancer. One of his promotions was racing with a monkey in the race car called Jocko Flocko. Two brothers also raced and his sister.
Ethel Mobley, his sister was credited with being the second premier feature female driver. His two brothers, Fonty and Bob also were super race car drivers. Wayne
