"Red Hot" Stafford Speedway Conn. Spring Sizzler News !

Stafford Springs, CT)---Magnus Racing Products of Danielson has joined the Stafford Motor Speedway family of partners and will offer a monetary bonus totaling $1,600 to the rookie class of 2015.  The runners up in the chase for Rookie of the Year honors in each of Stafford’s five NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing divisions will be eligible for the Magnus bonus.  The Magnus bonus will be distributed as follows; SK Modified® and Late Model rookie runners up,  $400 each, SK Light and Limited Late Model rookie runners up $300 each, and $200 to the DARE Stock rookie runner up.  The Magnus bonus will be paid out in $100 weekly increments during the 2016 season to the highest eligible rookie runner up that is racing in a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division at Stafford.

Magnus Racing Products’ contribution of $1,600 to Stafford’s Rookie of the Year program brings the total rookie program bonus to nearly $9,000 for the 2015 season.  SPFACO Race Chassis & Parts are contributing $2,200, R.A.D. Automachine is contributing $1,500, T/A Engines is contributing $1,000, and New England Racing Fuel, Sunoco Brand is contributing $2,300 in gas certificates.
The 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season at Stafford certainly won’t be short on rookie drivers.  The track’s premier SK Modified® division has 15 rookie drivers registered, there are 6 rookies in the Late Model division, 14 rookies in the SK Light division, 6 rookies in the Limited Late Model division, and 6 rookies in the DARE Stock division.  The 2014 season saw rookie winners in each of Stafford’s five weekly divisions with Chase Dowling and Ronnie Williams winning as SK Modified® rookies; Josh Wood triumphed as a Late Model rookie; Branden Dion, Paul French, Stephen Kopcik, and Jeremy Sorel were all SK Light rookie winners; Cliff Saunders was the lone Limited Late Model rookie driver to win, and both Trace Beyer and Dan Dembek were winners in the DARE Stock division.  In all, 54 rookie drivers earned championship points at Stafford with a total of 10 feature wins.
