McKennedy Sweeps Octoberfest Twin 50s Takes 2016 Championship

Segment 1

Jon McKennedy, Chelmsford,Ma ended the Valenti Modified Racing Series season by adding to his already impressive resume when he raced to victories number 8 and 9 of the year.

   In the first 50 the 2016 champion methodically worked his way to the front and took the lead from race leader Kirk Alexander, Richmond,NH on lap 29 and never looked back. One lap latter David Schneider, Northport,NY passed a fading Alexander and put pressure on McKennedy but the Exit Reality sponsored #29 was on a rail and held Schneider at bay for the next twenty laps taking down the win.

   Andy Suess, Hempstead,NH came back from a lap 13 spin to finished third. Geoff Gernhard, Borzak,Ct. started from the last row and picked off competitors finishing forth. Russ Hersey, Swanzey,NH  was fifth.

   Sixth thru tenth were Kirk Alexander, Mike Willis Jr., Rob Richardi Jr., Nathan Johnson, Branden Dion.
