Alston, from Yardville, New Jersey, is a paramedic for Medcor in the Garden State. He explained that he informed Jack Bateman, the president of VMRS, that he would have to step down because he cannot get coverage at his full-time job and would have to miss a number of events.
“We’re in the process of hiring people but until they get hired and into the system I don’t have any coverage so I have to be here,” Alston told Speed51.com powered by JEGS. “The reality is I spoke with Jack about that and he was sad to hear that would be the case. I just can’t do it because of work. There’s no reason other than that.”
