Camping World Truck Series: Cole Custer takes Gateway by Storm !

Custer wins at Gateway: #00-Cole Custer got the lead following a restart with five laps to go and went on to win the Drivin' for Linemen 200 at the Gateway Motorsports Park. #23-Spencer Gallagher finished second followed by: #98-Johnny Sauter, #8-John Hunter Nemechek, #13-Cameron Hayley, #17-Timothy Peters, #11-Ben Kennedy, #19-Tyler Reddick, #14-Daniel Hemric, and #29-Austin Theriault.
There were 6 caution flags for 35 laps and 9 lead changes among 5 leaders.
#4-Erik Jones started the race from the pole after rain forced NASCAR to start the field based on practice speeds. He led 84 laps before spinning late in the race. Point leader Matt Crafton also had trouble, wrecking with less than 10 laps to go after leading 49 laps.

  • Gateway Race Fast Facts:
    Cole Custer won the 2nd Annual Drivin' for Linemen 200, his second victory in 12 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races.
    This is his first victory and first top-10 finish in 2015.
    This is his first victory and second top-10 finish in two races at Gateway Motorsports Park.
    Spencer Gallagher (second) posted his first top-10 finish in one races at Gateway Motorsports Park. It is his second top-10 finish in 2015, and best overall finish of his career.
    Johnny Sauter (third) posted his fourth top-10 finish in four races at Gateway Motorsports Park.
    Spencer Gallagher (second) was the highest finishing rookie.
    Matt Crafton leads the point standings by 12 points over Tyler Reddick.
