Chase Elliot Wins at Richond

Posted by Wayne G. Barber

Elliott's win is Chevy's 400th: With his win of the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway, Chase Elliott in his #9 Napa Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro captured the 400th all-time victory for Chevrolet in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition. This unprecedented win secured yet another historical landmark for Chevrolet as the most successful manufacturer in NASCAR history. In addition to reaching this unequaled 400th race win triumph for the brand; Elliott brought his Camaro to Victory Lane for the 27th time in the nameplate's history.
This win was the defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion's fourth career series victory. Chevrolet's rich heritage in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition began when Tommy Houston took the checkered at Hickory Motor Speedway on August 1, 1982 in his Chevy Malibu. Thirty-three years later the 'Bowtie Brand' has continued to set the mark.
