The second 50 was an inverted start with George Sherman and Carl
Medeiros Jr. pacing the field to starter Tim Bennett's green flag.
Medeiros wasted no time blasting to the lead with Chris Pasteryak of
Jewitt City,Ct. slicing through the field from the third row and ran
in Medeiros tire tracks until his pass for the lead on lap 20 with
McKennedy following in hot pursuit. The two ran nose to tail trying to
break away from the potent pack behind them.
The dog fight for third was now between Anthony Nocella, Matt Mead,
David Schneider, Richard Savary and Todd Patnode, but the hot
performer of the race had to be Jeffrey Gallup of Agawam,Ma who
started 16th and over powered competitors racing into third place by
lap 22.
With the laps winding down and Pasteryak and McKennedy pulling
away, Nocella slipped by Gallup to finish third. Gallup and Savary
finished fourth and fifth respectivly. Sixth thru tenth were David
Schneider, Matt Mead, Todd Patnode, Rob Richardi Jr. and Russ Hersey.
McKennedy's bid for a clean sweep and the $500.00 bonus came up
0.349 seconds short.
